Who We Are

The Driving Training Centre (The DTC) is an independent driving school established in 2003. We serve learners across Edinburgh, The Lothians, Fife and Dumfries & Galloway, with availability varying by area and instructor.

Unlike large national franchises where you're just a number, The DTC offers a personal approach. Your instructor gets to know you, designs lessons around your learning style, and stays with you from first lesson to test day and beyond.

We're also proud to offer instruction in multiple languages, including English, Polish, Urdu and Punjabi, subject to instructor availability.

Is The DTC a national driving school?
No. The DTC is an independent driving school serving Edinburgh and selected areas across Scotland. We are not part of a national franchise, and local availability depends on the instructors working in each area.
Do you offer lessons in languages other than English?
Yes. Depending on the instructors available in your area, lessons may be offered in English, Polish, Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic and other languages. Contact us to check current availability.
Are your instructors fully qualified?
Yes. Lessons from The DTC are delivered by fully qualified, DVSA-approved Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs). Instructor profiles show their teaching areas, experience and relevant safeguarding information.
