Who We Are

The Driving Training Centre (The DTC) is a driving school serving Edinburgh, The Lothians, Dumfries, and surrounding areas. We specialise in tailored driving lessons delivered by fully-qualified, DVSA-approved Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs).

Unlike large national franchises where you're just a number, The DTC offers a personal approach. Your instructor gets to know you, designs lessons around your learning style, and stays with you from first lesson to test day and beyond.

We're also proud to offer instruction in multiple languages — English, Polish, Urdu, and Punjabi — because we believe everyone deserves to learn in the language they're most comfortable with.

Is The DTC a national driving school?
No. The DTC is a locally owned and operated driving school serving Edinburgh, The Lothians, Dunfermline, Dumfries, and surrounding areas. We are not part of a national franchise, which means every learner receives personal, consistent instruction.
Do you offer lessons in languages other than English?
Yes. We offer driving lessons in English, Polish, Urdu, and Punjabi. We believe everyone deserves to learn in the language they are most comfortable with, and our multilingual instructors help learners from diverse communities across Scotland.
Are your instructors fully qualified?
Yes. All DTC instructors are fully qualified, DVSA-approved Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs). They are regularly assessed, DBS-checked, and many hold additional qualifications in fleet training, defensive driving, and advanced instruction.
