What is included?

Every lesson includes a DVSA-approved instructor, a structured lesson plan tailored to your progress, local test-route familiarity, and clear feedback at the end of the session.

Manual or automatic

Both manual and automatic lessons are included in the summer rate. Availability depends on instructor diary, so let us know your preference when you enquire.

Block bookings

The 10-hour block must be paid for in advance. It is ideal when you want a consistent learning plan and saves 10% compared to booking individual hours.

Cancellation policy

We require 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. If less than 48 hours' notice is given, the lesson may still be charged because the instructor's diary slot has been reserved.

Availability

Manual and automatic availability varies by instructor diary. If your exact town is not listed, enquire anyway — nearby instructors may still be able to help.

Test-day use

If you need an instructor car for a practical driving test, ask when booking so we can confirm availability and any test-day arrangements clearly in advance.

What your lesson price includes

More than a car and an instructor. Every price includes access to the connected DTC learning system that tracks, plans, and prepares you for the test.

Personal lesson plan from real progress

Your instructor plans each lesson using your actual Ready to Pass syllabus scores. Time is spent on the skills that need attention, not on repeating what you already know.

Digital DVSA DL25 mock tests

Run a full mock test with the official DVSA report form. Faults are counted automatically and the results feed straight into your next lessons — no extra paperwork charge.

Learner portal access

See your 27-skill progress, lesson history, payment balance, and instructor feedback in one place. Available whenever you want to check it.

Automated confirmations and reminders

The system sends SMS and email confirmation requests when you book, plus reminders as the lesson approaches. Everyone is aligned and the 48-hour cancellation window is clear.

Block bookings save money and build momentum

The 10-hour block is our most popular option because it is not just a discount — it is a structured learning plan. With consistent weekly lessons and full progress tracking, skills move faster from Helped and Prompted to Independent, which means fewer total hours to test readiness.

Pricing questions

Do prices vary by area?
No. Our current summer pricing is one national rate for all DTC areas: £50 per hour, with 90-minute lessons at £75, 2-hour lessons at £95, and a 10-hour block at £450.
Do I have to pay for lessons in advance?
Individual lessons are paid for at the time of the lesson or in advance. Block bookings of 10 hours must be paid for in full before the first lesson of the block begins.
What happens if I cancel a lesson?
We require at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson without charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged at the full lesson rate. No-shows are also charged in full.
Do you offer discounts for block bookings?
Yes. Our 10-hour block is £450, saving 10% compared to booking individual hours at the regular £50/hour rate.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The price you see is the price you pay. There are no hidden fees for lesson materials, test-day car hire, or instructor travel within your booked area. Any additional services (e.g., mock tests) are clearly priced upfront.
Can I switch between manual and automatic lessons?
Yes, though you may need to switch instructors depending on availability. Automatic instructors specialise in automatic transmission vehicles, while manual instructors cover both. Contact us to discuss your options.
What does the lesson price include besides the car and instructor?
Every lesson includes a structured plan based on your Ready to Pass syllabus progress, access to the learner portal, digital DVSA DL25 mock tests, and automated SMS/email confirmations. You are paying for a connected learning system, not just the hour in the car.
Do I get access to a learner portal?
Yes. The DTC learner portal shows your 27-skill syllabus progress, lesson history, mock-test results, and payment balance. It updates in real time as your instructor records each lesson.
Are mock tests included in the price?
Digital DL25 mock tests are run as part of your normal lesson programme using the DTC system. There is no separate charge for running a mock test, although your regular lesson rate applies for the time used.
How does the Ready to Pass syllabus help me avoid unnecessary lessons?
Because every skill is scored objectively, your instructor knows exactly what to teach next and what to skip. Lessons are targeted at the gaps, so you do not waste hours revisiting skills you have already mastered.
Can I see my progress before booking more hours?
Yes. Your learner portal is available whenever you want to check it. You can review your syllabus progress and mock-test results before deciding whether to book another single lesson or a 10-hour block.
